  • Hi,
    I recently started working on an friend’s website. He is a photographer and we are very pleased with the theme! I have experimented with the theme in .com, but my friend uses a host and the downloaded version of Triton Lite seems different. I have the same question as Ashima (October 9, 2012 at 6:56 am). And secondly, the content (not the header) is aligned left instead of centered. There seems to be a sidebar “in the way” but I can’t find a way to remove it. Can you help? The site is http://www.andorkranenburg.nl/. Thanks!
    Kind regards, Cynthia

    • You can only add header image in the PRO version.
      and did you edit the theme file anyhow? looks like the content is all the way to the left. do you want that fixed? are did you do it intentionally?

    • Hi Towfiq, Thanks for answering! I downloaded the theme via WordPress dashboard and dit not edit it. I would like the content to be centered under the slider, so yes I would like it fixed. Could you help?
      Maybe the former webmaster edited something in the code before I took over. The site used to be in another WP theme (Twenty Eleven), but I thought Triton Lite matches the content in a better way.
      Thanks! Cynthia

    • Try re-installing the theme:
      http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/triton-lite

    • Hi Towfiq,
      Thanks! It turned out there was a plugin “in the way”. I disabled all plugins that aren’t in use and now the problem is solved. Sorry to have bothered you about this.
      I have another question about the slider: Each single words starts with an upper case letter. I would like the words to be presented the way I typed them into the box. I there a way? Cheers! Cynthia

    • Go to Appearance> Editor and select “stylesheet” from right and add this line to the very bottom:

      .slider-content p, #slider .slider-content h2 a, #slider .slider-content a{text-transform:none!important;}

    • Cool, thanks!!

    • Is there a way to get a Read more link in the slider that refers to the page with more info? I like the way the “slider” works in the .com version of the theme (only that it doesn’t slide automatically ;-).

    • you want to add a read more link in slides? I dont get what you are trying to achieve…

    • In the .com version the ‘slider’ shows a Read more link that opens the post with the full text (as can be seen on my test site: http://lafvtest.wordpress.com/). In the .org version the slider works differently. What I miss most is the Read more functionality. Now visitors won’t click and read the full item.
      Is there a way to configure such a link?

    • open up easyslider.php and replace this line:

      `“>`

      with:

      `“> Read More`

  • When I type in text into page the text does not show up. It only shows up when I highlight it, otherwise it is invisible. Any suggestions?

    • can you send me a page link where this problem is visible?

  • hi , i have installed the theme , i dont know how to changer the header

    there is no header option in the Appearance list ?

    • Ruba you can only chnage it in the PRO version.

  • Hi, first of all, great theme. Is it possible to add the slider number (1,2,3, etc) in the slider image (left or right at the bottom) in stead of below the slider?

    Also, is it possible to adjust the width of the slider? (I prefer a slider that is not so width). If that is possible, can you make the slider image stay in the middle (while keeping the grey or black line in place under the slider?

    Thanks in advance

    • add this to your stylesheet:

      ol#controls{position: relative; margin-top:-30px;}

      and about the slider issue, I will need to look at your site.

  • I’ve been using Dreamweaver for my site building. Anybody else in the same boat who has made the switch from DW to WordPress? I’m trying to do as much research as I can by reading blogs, etc. Any advice?

  • Hi,
    I was wondering if it is possible to have the top menu (in the masterhead) centered just like the title of the website?
    Thanks!

    • Add this to your stylesheet:

      #topmenu ul{text-align:center;}
      #topmenu ul li{float:none!important; display:inline-block;}

  • Hi, I have another request. Is it possible to add Facebook, Twitter en Google+ buttons (I would like to have “share this homepage” buttons, just like the “share this post” buttons) on the right corner of the topmenu of my homepage?

    Thanks

  • Hi.. Awesome Theme.
    Good work..
    Is it possible to only display same size images in home posts ? without description under the images?
    Thanks..

    • open up layout1.php and remove this line:

  • Hi – I was just wondering how I can avoid overlapping text in the feed columns on the homepage? Can’t seem to fix it!

    • you can just edit the excerpt. when you add excerpt, the default text will be replaced by your own text.
