  • hi, can i make above the slider or on the heater some menus just like a category? and how can i change the background colour in white? thanks

  • I activated this theme through wordpress.com but am having trouble taking advantage of some of its advertised options. The slider does not show on my blog and does not even appear under theme options or anywhere under the appearance tab. Am I missing something or is the slider not in fact available on the free wordpress.com version?

    • I am having the same issue.

    • The theme was modified for wordpress.com from a developer from wordpress.com . I was told that the theme will be added to the wordpress.com theme directory and it will be modified. After reading your comment I installed the modified version in my wordpress.com blog and looks like the theme options was re-written and the default slider feature was removed. I asked Phillip from wordpress.com about how to add slider in the theme. As soon as he replies I will notify you about how to do that. Meanwhile I suggest you ask the same question in the wordpress.com theme support forum: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/themes

    • Ok. This is what I got from Phillip:

“To enable the featured slider (it was recoded and doesn’t use Easy Slider), a user needs to make a post Sticky and make sure that it has a featured image at least 950 pixels wide assigned to it. That’s all there is to it. Sticky posts that do not have images attached to them will still show up first on the index page, as you can see from the demo.”

    • Hi, I am using Wp.com and just applied this theme, but I have the same problem.
Although I edited 2 posts as sticky posts with pictures larger than 950 pixels, the slider did not work, just a still picture header. How can I solve it? Please help me. I really love the moving pix and posts in your slider 🙂
      Thanks again for your creation.
      PN

    • Can you please post it in the wordpress.com forum?
      http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/themes

  • hi, great theme! how do i add a post but not include a photo? At the moment it leaves an empty space where the photo should go but I would like that to be gone just lik in the demo (i.e. Taking Shape)…
    thanks!

    • GO to Appearance> Editor and select “layout1.php” and find this line and remove it:

      . .
      post_password)) { ?>
      "><?php the_title_attribute(); ?>

  • 🙂

  • I’ve created two posts and each has a featured image. They appear on the home page but when I click either of them the URL changes but the view stays the same, i.e. effectively the home page.

How do I get clicking the featured images of the posts to take me the actual post please?

    • I just clicked the post images they are working fine. Are you talking about the slider?

    • Found the solution – I’d mis-typed a permalink statement. My fault.

  • Is there any way that I could change the boxes on the homepage so it shows the full post, instead of saying read more?
    thanks

    • Go to Appearance> Editor and select “layout1.php” from right and find these lines:

                          " title="">

      with this:

  • Is it possible to position the top menu below the logo (just above the slider)?

    • Go to Appearance> Editor and select “header.php” from right and cut this line:

      and then paste it after:
