disable the plugin. the functionality of the plugin is already built-in to wordpress. Go to Appearance> Menus to set up your menu by dragging and dropping.

yes. this is how the theme was made. to show the footer menu on mobile, remove this line from your stylesheet:

#footmenu{ display:none;}

you should be able to insert png images in wordpress fine. you dont need to convert to jpg. when you convert a transparent png file to jpg, a white background is automatically added.

it should be easy to create paragraphs with the welcome text editor. just press enter and a new paragraph will be created.
