How to make slider fade

Home Forums Free Theme Support Asteria Lite How to make slider fade

    Thanks for a great theme. Just one questions so far: how do I make the slides just do a simple fade? I have found answers to that question in this forum from a couple of years ago but the code you say to change in function.php isn’t there. I suspect those instructions might be out of date now. Thanks

    Apologies, I found the answer (change ‘random’ to ‘fade’ in javascript.php, not functions.php as you replied to a 2012 post). I guess things have changed. Thanks anyway.

    Aah, didn’t think it would be that simple. The above works perfectly on the slider…

    However, I’ve discovered that if I put ‘fade’ instead of ‘random’ where you say, the front page blocks do not appear until the user starts to scroll the page down, which is not desirable. Hopefully you can take a look, Towfiq. I will leave ‘fade’ on for now to demonstrate. This is the site http://sarahgall.com/wp/ in very early stages of building.

    Thanks.

    Add this to your Custom CSS:

    .midrow_block{margin-top:0!important; opacity:1!important;}
