Hi,
I would like to have certain posts on one page and others on another.
Is there a way to do this or a simple way to change some of the posts to pages so the menu bar shows them in a seperate section?
Here is a link to the site: http://footballbootsreview.com
I would like the page Featured Football Boots to show football boot posts as it does now and the page Football World to show football topic posts. At the moment I have to write all of the info on one page one after another. The user can’t select which topic to read without scrolling thorugh.
Thanks
#15930On March 9, 2012 at 6:52 amThis is how you should do this:
Create tow new categories something like this: “Football Boots” and “Football topics”
Then mark all the football boots related posts as “Football Boots” and football posts related posts as “Football topics”
Then go to Appearance> Menus and add those 2 categories to your menu.

I’ve managed to set it up how I want but the only issue is that the football topics posts are showing up on my “Featured Football Boots Page” http://footballbootsreview.com/featured-football-boots/
is there a way to stop them automatically being loaded as latest posts?
the only other issue I am getting is when I enter my twitter name into the amphion twitter feeds menu, I try to save it with 5 tweets showing but it doesnt save no matter how many times I re-enter the number.
Thanks
#15932On March 10, 2012 at 3:06 pmTry this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/front-page-excluded-categories/
For the twitter problem, open up twitter_widget.php from widgets folder of the AMphionPro folder and open it up with notepad and replace all the code with the code you find in this link:

Thank you.
the link to pastebin isn’t working for some reason. Do you have another link?
#15934On March 10, 2012 at 3:48 pmHi, the link is working now.
One question regarding the plugin, I can’t see a way of selecting which posts to exclude from the “featured football boots page” http://footballbootsreview.com/featured-football-boots/
Regards
#15935On March 10, 2012 at 4:03 pmHi again,
Something went wrong when I tried to paste the code for the twitter widget.
I’ve tried to paste the original code back but it won’t save.
My whole site is down and I get this msg:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/bodster2/public_html/wp-content/themes/AmphionPro/widgets/twitter_widget.php on line 117
Please can you help
Thanks
