1. How Do I add content to the slider?

A: Go to Appearance> Epione Options> Slider and select a category for the slider.
The slider will show the latest posts from that category.
2. How-To change the slider speed:

A: You have to open up “other.js” file from your epione/js theme folder and find:

pause: 2000,

To change the speed you have to change this value to your desired need. The default is 2000 milliseconds. If you want to slow the slider down you have to increase this value and save the file.

Note: If you dont know how to open the other.js file via FTP. Use this plugin:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-filemanager/

 

3. The slider stopped sliding, how to fix that?

A: Its probably a plugin conflict. Disable all the plugins one by one and find out which one is causing this.

 

4. Whats the right dimension for the slider images?

A: 450px x 230px

  • One more thing. I know I am abusing, sorry.
    I am getting an error when trying to advance in the slider arrows.

    Not Found

    The requested URL /blog/Â¥”javascript:void(0);Â¥” was not found on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.


    • I previously saw this “¥” symbol messing up the whole Javascript of the theme so the slider doesn’t owrk. I don’t know whether its a virus or not.. Try reinstalling the theme. Make sure there are no “¥” symbol in your themes javascript.

      To increase the slide numbers go to Appearance> Editor and select “functions.php” and find this lne:

      $number_entries = array("Select a Number:","1","2","3","4","5","6","7","8","9","10" );
      

      And replace it with:

      $number_entries = array("Select a Number:","1","2","3","4","5","6","7","8","9","10","11","12","13","14","15" );

    While I know that a certain post can be made “sticky” so it always remains on the home page, is there a way to make it so that only the sticky page is there?

  • I dont even know how to add the images onto the slide :S .. is it html the way to do it?


    • Hi mate, read above, install the 1.4 theme and when youre editing the posts page – down the bottom right of the page there should be a “featured image” section. You set the images from there.

  • Hi there, sorry for a second question, but my pages aren’t displaying on the site (the top bar is blank where the navigation should be) however, the pages are public and i can view them in the dashboard. They appear when I set other themes.

    Any help?


  • I love this theme and think it’s the best layout I’ve seen on the web. Version 1.3 isn’t putting the small thumbnails and I download the 1.4.version but then the slider messes up.

    It’s this just for my site or is this occuring with anyone else who downloaded the 1.4 version. I reverted back to 1.3 to keep my site viewable but want to update so people can see the small thumbanails.
