Initial Release

1. How Do I add content to the slider?

A: Go to Appearance> Epione Options> Slider and select a category for the slider.
The slider will show the latest posts from that category.
2. How-To change the slider speed:

A: You have to open up “other.js” file from your epione/js theme folder and find:

pause: 2000,

To change the speed you have to change this value to your desired need. The default is 2000 milliseconds. If you want to slow the slider down you have to increase this value and save the file.

Note: If you dont know how to open the other.js file via FTP. Use this plugin:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-filemanager/

3. The slider stopped sliding, how to fix that?

A: Its probably a plugin conflict. Disable all the plugins one by one and find out which one is causing this.

4. Whats the right dimension for the slider images?

A: 450px x 230px

The theme is released under GNU General Public License, version 2.

  • Pictures attached to the post are not automatically shown in the slider or as a thumbnail. What goes wrong?

  • where is the “other.js” file located in order to open it? I see you’ve answered several times about how to slow down the slider, but I can’t seem to locate that file…

    • You can edit the file with this plugin:

      http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-filemanager/

I am going to release a new version pretty soon(within 2 weeks). The new version will support featured image and slider speed control.

  • I am trying to upload pictures so that they appear correctly in the slider. I saw you posted that the images must be 420 x 254…so I uploaded images that are only of those dimensions, but it doesn’t change how they appear cut off in the slider..thoughts?

  • can i remove slider from the blog

  • hello,

i just want to thank you so much for designing this killer theme and sharing it with everyone! even though i’ve modified it, i think the original theme is gorgeous as-is. thank you!

  • Pics from posts are not coming up in the scroll… is there something i am doing wrong?

  • If I update to the newest version of the theme am I going to lose all of the previous customization that I’ve done to the older version?

If not, what is the easiest way to update to the newest version?

    • Probably not. There is no other way. Backup the edited version and upload the new version via ftp.

  • Ok. Thanks.

  • Is there any way to just add in the Featured Image and Slider Control functions to older versions through CSS or anything like that?

  • Im very new at css… how do i make the font on the menu bigger?

    • Go to Appearance> Editor and select stylesheet from right and add this line in the editor:

      .topmenu ul li a{font-size:16px!important;}
