Initial Release

1. How Do I add content to the slider?

A: Go to Appearance> Epione Options> Slider and select a category for the slider.
The slider will show the latest posts from that category.
2. How-To change the slider speed:

A: You have to open up “other.js” file from your epione/js theme folder and find:

pause: 2000,

To change the speed you have to change this value to your desired need. The default is 2000 milliseconds. If you want to slow the slider down you have to increase this value and save the file.

Note: If you dont know how to open the other.js file via FTP. Use this plugin:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-filemanager/

3. The slider stopped sliding, how to fix that?

A: Its probably a plugin conflict. Disable all the plugins one by one and find out which one is causing this.

4. Whats the right dimension for the slider images?

A: 450px x 230px

The theme is released under GNU General Public License, version 2.

  • Love the theme.

    Question:

Despite our posts having attached images in them, the images fail to display at all or are positioned oddly in the slider and on the main “menu” page

    Here is how it looks:

  • I absolutely love your theme, I have 4 websites and each is using this theme with a different color. I am using it more as a photo blog but for users to submit photos without having to go through the registration process. I am using Gravity Forms which looks great and integrates well with your theme, before that I was using TDO Mini Form. Unfortunately, the Gravity Form doesn’t take the name supplied and say it was submitted by them, it has to read a default like Admin or Subscriber but the TDO could do it. Is there a way just to get rid of the author and category on the posts?

    • Go to Appearance> Editor and make necessary edits to these files:
      front-page.php, index.php, archive.php, search.php, single.php, page.php

The edits: Find and Remove this two lines

    • Thank you so much, that worked. I had modified the single.php and the index.php, guess I needed to look a little further. Thanks again!

  • Hi,

I’m a fantasy fiction writer and I really love your theme.
I’m using it for my official page and since my book has just gone live on Amazon (kindle edition) I’m desperately trying to get my site as perfect as can be. (If you like fantasy fiction then check out the book via my site or search for me on Amazon – the paper edition will be there within the next two weeks). Anyway….

Firstly – I know changing the “pause” attribute is common amongst your users but I thought it might also be good to point them at the “speed” attribute (which obviously changes the speed of the slider) – making it about 2000 ms seems to just “relax” the site nicely.

I am, however, having some problems with images. No matter how I size my images (I’ve tried all sorts of dimensions) they come out stretched (vertically) and cropped (vertically) !! on the slider…
Is there a recommended image size? I know others have also had similar problems (above) but there doesn’t appear to be a response that fixed this – I did notice the comment about “do not attach thumbnail” but there’s no concept of choosing main image or thumbnail when attaching via the media library.

If I wanted to get into the nitty gritty which file do I need to look at in order to work out how the slider is showing the image?

Also, I’ve got a static page as my home page and the image (although “attached” to the relevant page) does not appear. Any ideas?

Thanks for your efforts thus far and a great (free) theme,
    Sat Sandhu

    • The only way to get around your slider problem is to attach
      (420 x254) resolution images.

  • I was playing with this them deciding if i want to use it. So far I love it. but I noticed when I change some options in the theme, even not changing an option and click save changes seems to make the slider empty and nothing happens anymore until I hit reset in options.

the left and right arrows move from the box below to the top of the page.

any one else notice this issue?

  • Please help!!!! I am have problems getting the slider to recognize my pics. I want the setup to be a picture on the mail page (and inside of the silder) and then when you click on the post I would like my video or article to appear. I have tried the following but have gotten nowhere.

    1. I have reloaded the theme.
    2. I have attached images to the post.

When I pull up my page I still see the default picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
