Initial Release

1. How Do I add content to the slider?

A: Go to Appearance> Epione Options> Slider and select a category for the slider.
The slider will show the latest posts from that category.
2. How-To change the slider speed:

A: You have to open up “other.js” file from your epione/js theme folder and find:

pause: 2000,

To change the speed you have to change this value to your desired need. The default is 2000 milliseconds. If you want to slow the slider down you have to increase this value and save the file.

Note: If you dont know how to open the other.js file via FTP. Use this plugin:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-filemanager/

3. The slider stopped sliding, how to fix that?

A: Its probably a plugin conflict. Disable all the plugins one by one and find out which one is causing this.

4. Whats the right dimension for the slider images?

A: 450px x 230px

The theme is released under GNU General Public License, version 2.

  • Hi!
I am not able to put the images in the slider, i have tried all.
Purt the images in my own server, put them in the custom field, use an external image, put more than one image in the post….
Please could you be so kind to have a look at the website cssisamess.com and tell me what i am doing wrong?
    Thanks a million in advance.
    Regards.

    • Can you install the theme again? I can’t find why it is happening. Did you modify the theme?

  • Hi!Thanks for replying!
No i did not modify the them and i have reinstalled the template several times, ones into wordpress and others but copying by http://ftp….
I have tried in two different servers and still nothing…..

  • I am having some issues adding images to a post, I cna add them ok, but they look really bad in the slider. The images appear to be too big to display, but i have resized them to all sorts of sizes with no lucj, any npt would be apprecited. Please email me..
    Thanks!

    • You website doesn’t have any image included in your slider.
Can you attach image to your slides and then let me know?

  • is it possible to remove the default image of the camera of each post (when a post is done without any image?

    • From your admin panel go to Appearance>Editor and Click on Style.css from right. Now find this line:

      .imgframe {background:url(“images/img_frame.png”) no-repeat;float:left;height:150px;width:200px;}

      Replace it with:

      .imgframe {float:left;height:150px;width:200px;}

    • Thanks towfiq!

  • this theme is one of the recommended theme i suggest… really black… really great, thanks for free it.

  • Thx for this neat theme. I digg your vision and it’s what I actually need.

    1. @faifo and others with problems to make the post’s pics visible in the slider: go to Media and check if the pic is actually attached to a post. If it says ‘not attached’ click on this ‘not attached’ and search for the post (page) name, tick the button and voila. Make sure you attach it to the proper post because this is permanent and overrides where you actually inserted the pic.

    2. I have problem with the wrapping of the text on my landing page as shown: http://www.doctor-pc.mk. It’s wrapped around the pic with alignment to left. The ‘read more…’ link is also not taking the reader to the full reading.

    3. a porsonal wish for the next version – pls make the background customizable! At least the color, and if possible, with uploadable pic or pattern with center/stretch/tile options

    4. a feedback – I use Chrome to operate and IE8 and Mozilla for testing. Chrome and Mozilla shows my site properly (slide pics cropped to fit, IE8 shows them shrinked to fit)

    All the best, D

    • I, too, would like to know how to stop it from say read more on the front page (or at least for the link to work). How could I expand so all the information shows?

      Thanks 🙂

  • I’ve been trying out this theme and as another reader said the read more is not taking you to the full page. In fact my home page info shouldn’t even have the read more on it- it does and when clicked the page just refreshes. The Home page should have my home page info, which explains the site. The blog is where posts are done, and should have an option for the read more.

Not sure I understand why my home page has a read more in other words.

  • Just giving you kudos for a great template. Just started using WordPress and will be using this for my volunteers. Thank you for having this information page as well…the one thing that I was told to do was to slow down the slider…and I was able to find out exactly how to do that here. 🙂
    Peace & Blessings O

  • Where exactly do I find the “other.js.” file ?

    • I have the same question…. where is this “other.js.” file

  • congratulations on your site.
I have a doubt. how do I change the nome.epione for a picture? my site?
and also has the power to change the menus?
    thanks
