Hi
I found this forum is simple and fast. Can anyone tell me which forum plugin does this towfiqi.com use? BBpress or others?
Thx
Yee Chen
#15070On December 24, 2011 at 1:33 pmyes it will work. but will not look good on it. Since it is only designed and customized for wordpress not BBpress. you can give it a try. Post the link and if there’s anything wrong I will try to look into it.
#15071On December 25, 2011 at 4:30 pmNot sure why but I’m unable to get the BBPress-forums to work correctly with Scylla Pro & Buddy Press
Here is an example how the BuddyPress members list looks like using Scylla Pro … http://techmeetups.com/members
#15072On December 25, 2011 at 6:17 pmAdd these lines to your stylesheet:
div#item-header div#item-header-content {float: left;margin-left: 30px!important;}
#content .padder{padding:10pximportant;}
#content .padder a:link{color: #BF4842;}
#activity-stream, #members-list{padding-left: 5px;}
#members-list{list-style-type:none;}
div.item-list-tabs {margin: 25px -19px 20px -10pximportant;}
div#subnav.item-list-tabs{margin: -20px -20px 15px -10pximportant;}And whats the forum url? can’t seem to find the forum.
#15073On December 30, 2011 at 3:48 pmWe love our Scylla Pro. Is there any chance of adding the theme style for our bbPress forum that we added? Is there any thought of adding a bbPress add-in to your Scylla theme, so that it all appears seamless?
Any thoughts on getting my forum to appear as the other pages do? We’re close but not quite there.
I appreciate any help or direction.
#15074On December 30, 2011 at 4:57 pmAdd these lines to your stylesheet:
.single .post_content, .page .post_content, .archive .post_content, .type-attachment .post_content{color: #333333}
.single_page_post .type-forum{background:#fff;padding:10px;color#333;}
Let me know about the progress.
#15076On December 30, 2011 at 9:22 pm3 quick questions and hopefully done…
I am curious how to better adapt the purple, gray and blue text colors as seen in the link below. I can not seem to change them with tweaks to the scylla pro color selections. They do not show up well.
http://divingtop100.com/topic/dive-resorts-2/
Also is there any way to increase the box height here: http://divingtop100.com/forum/dt100/ … to allow more room in the categories for the gravatars?
Lastly on the main page, http://www.DivingTop100.com , I notice that the post for “Dive Shops” appears on page 1 & 2, though it was only posted once. Ideas or insight appreciated.
#15077On December 30, 2011 at 9:32 pmDidn’t you add the lines I suggested before? why don’t I see it in the stylesheet? and I am not sure about the height and gravatar question, can you describe it more? and can you be more specific about what color do you want for what text? I will try to tweak the code that way…
#15078On December 30, 2011 at 9:45 pmI did add the lines to the style sheet. They are at the bottom
/*Forums*/
.search_term{ margin-bottom:20px;}
.single .post_content, .page .post_content, .archive .post_content, .type-attachment .post_content{color: #333333}
.single_page_post .type-forum{background:#fff;padding:10px;color#333;}
It worked well for the main forum page except that there is not enough empty space below to the top of the next topic under it. (http://divingtop100.com/forum/dt100/)
The changes you had me insert into the style sheet did not seem to affect the Topic pages though. I would like them to be as clean, clear and simple and color as the page that worked with the lines you gave me. Or be light enough to see on the dark background. I hate the purple color for clicked links. see topics here: (http://divingtop100.com/topic/dive-resorts-2/)
Thanks
#15079On December 31, 2011 at 5:32 amI just checked your stylesheet and couldn’t find the code… did you remove it?
#15080On December 31, 2011 at 5:40 amno, it is at the very bottom. Here’s an attached copy.
#15082On December 31, 2011 at 5:53 amhmm. I had to clear my browser cache..
Add this line too:
.single_page_post .type-topic{background:#fff;padding:10px;color#333;}
and what color do you want for the clicked links?
#15083On December 31, 2011 at 6:03 ama maroon or dark orange should do nicely. Thanks. Is there a way to increase the space between the “started by” line and the next topic below it on the forum page? The gray shaded boxes are right on top of the white ones.
Thanks again.
#15085On December 31, 2011 at 6:09 amadd these :
.single_page_post .type-topic{height:70px;}
.forum .single_page_post a:visited{color:##DD4B39;}
#15086On December 31, 2011 at 6:13 amI think topic-tag is the last one. I tried to fix it like the others lines you gave me, but didn’t work. Its when you click a tag from a forum topic.
#15087On December 31, 2011 at 6:18 am.single_page_post .type-topic{height:70px;}
.forum .single_page_post a:visited{color:##DD4B39;}
I deleted a # and works perfectly. Topic-tags page also looks good. I will send more people I know to buy your themes. Thanks for everything. Oh yeah I still have a double post that I can;t figure out on page 1 & 2.
#15088On December 31, 2011 at 6:19 amshoot! remove this line:
.single_page_post .type-topic{height:70px;}
Add this:
.single_page_post .bbp-topics .type-topic{height:70px;}
#15089On December 31, 2011 at 6:23 amhere’s what i’m getting now
http://divingtop100.com/topic-tag/divingtop100-com-forums-dive-diving-scuba-opinions-reviews/
#15090On December 31, 2011 at 6:31 amadd these lines:
.type-topic a:visited, .type-forum a:visited{color:#DD4B39;}
.single_page_post .type-topic{color: #333333;}
.bbp-pagination{padding: 10px 10px 10px 0;}
