Initial Release

1. How Do I add content to the slider?

A: Go to Appearance> Epione Options> Slider and select a category for the slider.
The slider will show the latest posts from that category.
2. How-To change the slider speed:

A: You have to open up “other.js” file from your epione/js theme folder and find:

pause: 2000,

To change the speed you have to change this value to your desired need. The default is 2000 milliseconds. If you want to slow the slider down you have to increase this value and save the file.

Note: If you dont know how to open the other.js file via FTP. Use this plugin:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-filemanager/

3. The slider stopped sliding, how to fix that?

A: Its probably a plugin conflict. Disable all the plugins one by one and find out which one is causing this.

4. Whats the right dimension for the slider images?

A: 450px x 230px

The theme is released under GNU General Public License, version 2.

  • Please forgive the site, its adult novelty

    http://www.lockhimup.com/

  • i would like the body of the home page to connect to the slider/header page like my mother pages, like this

    http://www.lockhimup.com/how-to-use/

    • Find this line in your stylesheet:

      #home_content {float: left; margin-top: 10px; width: 660px;}

      and change it to this:

      #home_content {float: left; margin-top: -30px; width: 660px;}

  • awesome!!!!!!!!! thank you so much. One more question, is there any way to change the post to more than 55 words?

    • Go to Appearance> Editor and click on Theme Functions from right and find this line:

      function wpe_excerptlength_teaser($length) {
      return 45;
      }

      change the number 45 to any number you want. Click the update file button.

  • I tried that and it didnt work. But something else weird just happened. The file named theme functions is now named functions.php and thats it. It said theme functions before, how would it get renamed? I installed an seo plugin but that wouldnt rename the file would it?

    • the name of the file is functions.php .Nothing changed. Don’t worry.

      Are you using any Cache plugin?

  • ok thanks, no im not using any cache plugins. is that why the characters wont change?

    • No. it wouldn’t change if you had cache plugin.

      Anyway, there is another way to show characters more than 45. while editing the post under the editor there is a box called “Excerpt” you can write more than 55 characters in this box and it will show everything.

  • I tried that and it made your thumbnail on the post disappear AND no text would go in that empty spot. The text would go straight down and to the right with a big blank space to the left. Idealy Id like to use that excertp and have the thumbnail stay there.

    I really appreciate you helping me

    • You are doing something wrong.

    • Gotta be with Eddie on this one, it doesn’t work for me either, doesn’t matter if I edit it by FTP or WPs internal editor…

  • how do I get the slide under the dropdown menu to work??
    ANd If I’d rather have a custom header there, is that possible? Im quite new at this, Id really appreciate your help! Thanks!

    • Go to Appearance > Epione Options and select from which category to get the posts for the slideshow and select the number of the posts. Save the settings. The image image of the slideshow is automatically grabbed if the post has atleast one image.

  • Hi, first of all, I’d just like to say that this theme is great. I have a question. Is it possible to add a button on the top menu/navigation bar which links to an external site? If so, how can this be accomplished? Thanks.

    • Also, is there a way to remove pages from the menu?

    • You have to setup menu with wordpress Menu Manager feature. Read this article:

      http://www.expand2web.com/blog/wordpress-30-custom-navigation-menus-video/

    • I’ve created and enabled the menu, but it doesn’t appear on my page. The navigation bar is present, but there are no buttons. Is this because I slightly increased the size of the text?

    • Nevermind. I re-saved the menu after enabling it and it’s working now. Thanks!

  • Thank you again for your help. One more question and im done, lol.

    I need to remove ALL remainder of the logo code. Whats happening is ive got the slider as a header and whenever I type in my title of my site, that title part comes up as a link in the logo spot top left.

    I dont want the site title to show up anywhere BUT i still want to enter info in the site title field in the backend for SEO porposes…

    • anyone?

    • Eddie can you post the site address or a screenshot maybe?

  • http://i53.tinypic.com/i4o9wz.jpg screenshot

    • Eddie go to Appearance> Editor and click on the “Header” from right. Now find this line:

      and remove it.
