Initial Release

1. How Do I add content to the slider?

A: Go to Appearance> Epione Options> Slider and select a category for the slider.
The slider will show the latest posts from that category.
2. How-To change the slider speed:

A: You have to open up “other.js” file from your epione/js theme folder and find:

pause: 2000,

To change the speed you have to change this value to your desired need. The default is 2000 milliseconds. If you want to slow the slider down you have to increase this value and save the file.

Note: If you dont know how to open the other.js file via FTP. Use this plugin:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-filemanager/

3. The slider stopped sliding, how to fix that?

A: Its probably a plugin conflict. Disable all the plugins one by one and find out which one is causing this.

4. Whats the right dimension for the slider images?

A: 450px x 230px

The theme is released under GNU General Public License, version 2.

  • Your theme is absolutely amazing. The best wordpress theme I have ever seen.

I was just curious which slider you went with and why? Or did you program one from scratch?

There seem to be an infinite amount of WordPress Content Slider scripts but yours is the only one I have seen that dynamically grabs the image from a post and uses it. A lot of them you have to specify the exact URL to the image you want in the slider.

Did you write your slider from scratch or did you use an existing jQuery slider?

    • Thanks. I used Easyslider and modified it to grab post image and content.

Here is the link to the script:

    • That’s really cool. It’s the first time I have ever seen someone do that with a slider in wordpress.

I remember installing this theme for a friend and then instantly getting jealous that my site didn’t have this theme when I saw how functional it was.

Great work, man. Your theme totally opened my mind to how dynamic themes can actually be. =)

  • please go to my url http://www.madestars.com to see the issue thats displaying on my homepage with the subcategories, and please advise as to how to fix. thanks

i’m having some trouble getting my slider pictures to show, i have the pictures in individual posts just unsure how to get the slider to pull pictures in.

also i want to have a gallery of pictures on my website how do I go about doing that, please advise.

another issue i’m having is that I changed some of the lowercase script to “normal” and “normal gives all uppercase font, I would like to use uppercase and lowercase how do I change it?

  • Hello, I wanted to congratulate you about the template. It’s fantastic!
I’m trying to implement it on my site and would like to know how to leave the posts in the “front-page” with all the content, so I could add the “read more” when I need or want.
There’s like doing? Thank you, Gerline.

    • Curious about this as well

    • I agree – I’d love to be able to show the full text for all or at least the first few posts on the front page. I have “full text” selected in Reading settings, but that appears to not be taking effect.

  • Really amazing theme!

Is there any way to remove the comment counters for each post on the index page?

    • Go to Appearance> Editor and click on index.php, archive.php and front-page.php from right and find and delete this line:

  • Thanks for the help. That didn’t work for me. Got error: T_ENDWHILE

deleted line from all three .php files

had to put the line back in front-page.php file to get site back up again.

    • Sorry, you have to remove this:

    • Oh that worked great!

Now, is there a way to modify the theme so the FULL posts show on the front page, rather than just summaries?

  • I read your post on how to change the header on the WP forum, but all I have succeeded in doing is deleting the header completely! I am trying to implement my own logo, but no success! Any helpers?

  • yes i followed that article step for step and nothing doin

  • how to use umlauts with lobster font on this theme? there is a new version of lobster font that supports umlauts, but how to make it work with this theme?

  • Thank you very much for a great job with this theme.
I had problems with the thumbnails displayed on the home. Sometimes they are visible and some not, and I can not find the error. It would be helpful if you could give me some clue to the solution. Thanks!

    • Looking at other questions in this forum, I just figure it out. Some photos were uploaded correctly. Photos uploaded from a web page are those who did not look properly.
Problem solved. Thank you very much!

  • Anyone have an update as to the personalized header problem I posted the other day? I read a link that says you can do it, but I have not had any success. Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
