Initial Release

1. How Do I add content to the slider?

A: Go to Appearance> Epione Options> Slider and select a category for the slider.
The slider will show the latest posts from that category.
2. How-To change the slider speed:

A: You have to open up “other.js” file from your epione/js theme folder and find:

pause: 2000,

To change the speed you have to change this value to your desired need. The default is 2000 milliseconds. If you want to slow the slider down you have to increase this value and save the file.

Note: If you dont know how to open the other.js file via FTP. Use this plugin:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-filemanager/

3. The slider stopped sliding, how to fix that?

A: Its probably a plugin conflict. Disable all the plugins one by one and find out which one is causing this.

4. Whats the right dimension for the slider images?

A: 450px x 230px

The theme is released under GNU General Public License, version 2.

  • Hi there! LOVE the template. Awesome work.

    Question: How do I make “sticky” posts NOT appear in the “popular posts” sidebar?

    I have made sure that the sticky posts are in a different category than those used in the “popular posts.” Thanks!

  • twitter and facebook feed

  • how do I add a flash as soon http://www.trueblood-italy.com/?
    i loved

  • I am having trouble editing the color and font size on the main page. It just comes like normal text no matter how i try to edit on the backend. Any idea on how to fix this?

  • Hello, do you have a html version for standard website no wordpress ? I love this theme and want use it 🙂

    • No.

  • Hi. First, SERIOUSLY nice job on the template. And for your kind aid to all the whiners in this comment section. 🙂

    I’ve been struggling with something for a long time now, and can’t find a solution.

    I have a front page with blog posts and read more links to the posts itself, which is fine.

    Now I have made another page menu item, which shows all posts from a single category. It rocks, although I want that specific category to show FULL content, and not excerpts.

    I managed to remove excerpts and side images perfectly fine, but then it changes to everything. I just want that one category to show full content right away, and the other categories just show excerpts as it is now.

    Is this something you know of, or should I look further?

    Thanks a million for any help provided! Keep up the good work! If I can donate somewhere, i’m game!

    • Try this(change “events” with your category name):

      This code will show excerpt if it is in category “events” otherwise it will show the full content. for multiple category try adding category name with commas.

    • And where will I place this code? In category.php? Does it matter where in that file?

    • Nice! I made it to work…almost.

      The frontpage displays the excerpts, the other page with the single category the full content.

      Only, on the other page still shows the thumbnail preview picture on each post. If I remove

      post_content;
      $searchimages = ‘~]* />~’;
      preg_match_all( $searchimages, $content, $pics );

      $iNumberOfPics = count($pics[0]);
      if ( $iNumberOfPics > 0 ) { ?>

      In category.php, it removes the thumbnail preview picture in ALL categories. I just want it removed with that single category. How would that work?

    •
      post_content;
      				$searchimages = '~]* />~';
      				preg_match_all( $searchimages, $content, $pics );

      				$iNumberOfPics = count($pics[0]);
      				if ( $iNumberOfPics > 0 ) { ?>

    • There is another easy way to give a single category page a custom look. Just copy the “index.php” from “epione” directory and rename it to “category-events.php”

      now edit the file as you want and paste it to the directory you copied from.

    • Thanks a bunch, bro! I got it working by editing ‘category.php’ and making another css class so it defines just that category instead of everything.

    • In the Dashboard, click on Appearance, then Epione options.
      There is a box in there to “hide social buttons”
      make sure this is not checked.

    • i’m checked and..continued

  • I’m new to WordPress and i don’t know something… How do i put an image to a post cuz’ when i blog something on the posts slideshow doesn’t appear any image

    • Fixed it.. now i want my posts to show full … without preview nor […]
      (show full on every page)

    • in ‘category.php’ you’ll find
      <a href="”>

      Change ‘the_excerpt’ to ‘the_content’ and it should show everything.

    • Hm code doesn’t show.
      Anyway,
      In category.php you’ll find the_excerpt, change it to the_content and it should work

  • The theme is too good to look and one of the best wordpress theme I have seen for my niche. But I have countering some errors in my website.

    1) There is no link or image of Read More. I want to have Read More image or text there.
    2) I just want to have excerpt at the index page.
    3) Popular Post at sidebar is displaying full content.
    4) Category is not being shown at header menu.

    Will appreciate your support.

    Regards

    • 1)The read more icon is working fine.
      2-3)None of the excerpt are working in your wordpress. maybe it is wordpress problem.
      4) Category should appear properly. How did you assign the menu?

    • 1) I mean the Read More button in slider. The slider is displaying whole post instead of excerpt there too.
      2) I tried 2 times with fresh install but it’s not working.
      3) i will try that later and say you but it’s not displaying category that I have created and used some test posts.
