Initial Release

1. How Do I add content to the slider?

A: Go to Appearance> Epione Options> Slider and select a category for the slider.
The slider will show the latest posts from that category.
2. How-To change the slider speed:

A: You have to open up “other.js” file from your epione/js theme folder and find:

pause: 2000,

To change the speed you have to change this value to your desired need. The default is 2000 milliseconds. If you want to slow the slider down you have to increase this value and save the file.

Note: If you dont know how to open the other.js file via FTP. Use this plugin:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-filemanager/

3. The slider stopped sliding, how to fix that?

A: Its probably a plugin conflict. Disable all the plugins one by one and find out which one is causing this.

4. Whats the right dimension for the slider images?

A: 450px x 230px

The theme is released under GNU General Public License, version 2.

  • Thank you!!! It works!!!

    Can i make a suggestion?
I think it will be VERY useful if the post had an EDIT THIS POST, all the templates use it. It’s not easy to look for all the articles from your admin pannel….
Another suggestion could be the Numbers instead Old entries and New entries….
    Just sayin’

    Thank btw!

  • Love the theme but I am gettin all heads and cuttoffs in my posts. Is there a way to choose what appears in the slider? Manually?

  • Every picture on my site is the same. How do I correct this? Hope do I manually choose what picture to show where?

    Thank you.

If you need to take a look at my site it is DKJade.com

  • I also cannot get the slider to show less or more then three posts.

Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Hello the template is awesome, Thank you for this…
But I have problem about the retweet button which is located below each post, I want to get rid of it? how can i do this? please any help will do thank you…

    http://www.mychristinesblog.net

    @DK
what i did on mine as what i read from here…
first you have to create a tag name called “featured” and
after doing that, you go to your “post settings” select what post you want to be featured in the slider by adding/checking the tag name you created “featured”, after doing that go to your “Epione editor” under Appearances option and scroll select the category/tag name “featured” and select how many post you want to be featured I have mine set to 10. thats basically it dont forget to save changes.Hopefully that helps too.

if you are still having trouble not able to see the pictures in your slider, you have to reupload your pictures in wordpress itself and edit your posts, than using a 3rd party image uploader i.e tinypic/imageshack coz as far as I read the other comments thats what there advice what to do, correct me if im wrong though… anyway, hope these help.

    • The Retweet button doesn’t come with this theme, You installed a pluign. Uninstall the plugin from from your plugin Manager.

  • Howdy,
Posts with only a single image, selected from the gallery of existing images, not added and uploaded, are not being displayed in the home page.

On your theme, it looks like it sees there is an image selected, so it is not using the default image (the picture/camera image), but is unable to display the image because it wasn’t loaded for this post. The end result is on the home page, the post shows no image at all.

    • Yeah I noticed that while I was developing the theme. I integrated a plugin called timthumb with the theme but that version was not approved by WordPress.org theme directory, so I excluded the plugin.

The basic functionality of this plugin was it displayed the very 1st image of your post as thumbnail on the frontpage. the current version does the opposite, it displays the the last image of the post as thumbnail.

Anyway, here is the link to the version with the timthumb plugin. This will solve the thumbnail issue.

    • See the main post, I have added how to change the speed of the slider.

  • Also I can not get the slider to show any other amount of posts besides 3. No other selection will stay after I save changes.

  • Hi Towfiq,

As i mentioned the other day, for some reason my menu expands automatically.

    Please take a look at:

    http://www.audioboutique.co.za

This is the only issue i have at the moment.

    Thank you.

    • I just visited your website, It is working fine.

    • Hi Towfiq,

      Thanks, but not to me.

I have the main menu, first layer of children, but then everything beneath that expands immediately, to its maximum. Every sub-menu is fully expanded. And it is happening in both Firefox and IE.

Are “children of children” meant to be handled differently?

When i watch the function in Firebug, it appears to me that because they are all considered children, they all automatically expend.
